Donald Sutherland Dies at 88 due to "Long illness" Son Kiefer Expressed deep Grief

America's famous Canadian actor Donald Sutherland died at the age of 88 due to "Long illnesses". A wave of grief has spread across the entire American film industry. 

Donald's son Kiefer Sutherland said while expressing deep grief, "He loved what he did and did what he loved, and one can never ask for more than that. A life well lived."

Canadian Actor and actor of famous movie "Hunger Game" Donald Sutherland died on Thursday 20th June in Miami city of Florida, United States. The cause of death is being said to be "long illness".

Donald has worked in 200 movies and TV shows till the age of 88. Donald has won the hearts of people with his excellent acting by working in movies like M*A*S*H, Hunger Games, Don't Look Now, Eye of the Needle.

Just hours after Sutherland's death, his son Keifer Sutherland wrote on PlatformX mourning his father's death. Along with his tweet, Kiefer  shared a image of himself and his father. In just 11 Hours the Post Received 26.7 Milion views, 100k Repost, 781 thousand Likes and 10 Thousand Bookmarks.

Donald Sutherland's death has shocked not only his family but the entire American film industry. Many big actors and actresses are saddened by Donald's death after his "long illness" and are expressing their feelings through social media. 

Born on 17 July 1935 in Saint John, New Brunswick, Canada, Donald Sutherland set his foot in the Canadian Film Industry in 1966 and made his bright entry into the Film Industry. His career breakthrough happened early in his career — when Donald worked in the Avengers episode "The Superlative Seven".

Donald has had three marriages, his first wife was Lois May Hardwick, who was a school head teacher. Donald and Lois's marriage lasted for 11 years from 1959 to 1966. After this, in 1966, his second marriage took place with Shirley Douglas which lasted 4 years. 

Between this Sutherland and Douglas gave birth to twins Rachel and Kiefer Sutherland. Donald's third marriage took place with Canadian actress Francine Which lasted only 2 years.

Donald Sutherland has been honoured with many awards and honours. He received his 1st Honour in 1978 and in 2000 he was honoured with Canada Walk of Fame. Received Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2011 and Academy Honoury Award in 2017.
