Millwall and Montenegro Goalkeeper "Matija Sarkic Died" at 26 in Budva Montenegro

26 years old Excellent Goalkeeper Matija Sarkic died suddenly on Saturday in his apartment in Budva, Montenegro. On the death of Millwall's team's strong player Matija, Millwall clearly refused to give the reason for the death of goalkeeper Matija. 

Citing the privacy of Matija's family, Millwall association marked that "The club will make no further comment.....privacy of Matija's family is respected."

Goalkeeper of Millwall and Montenegro Matija Sarkic tragically Died at 26 

On Saturday comes the news of the tragic death of Montenegrins professional footballer Matija Sarkic.
After hearing this, a wave of grief spread in the world of football. People were very shocked by the sudden death of young footballer Matija and everyone is eager to know the real reason behind his death. 

Matija died at 6:30 in the morning local time, till now the exact cause of death of American Footballer Matija has not been disclosed officially. He died in his apartment which is in Budva, Montenegro. Millwall Football Club mourned the tragic death of one of their favourite players Matija through a post on Twitter and called the news "Completely Devastated" for football.

 "Millwall Football Club is completely devastated to announce that Matija Sarkic has passed away at the age of 26."

"... privacy of Matija's family is respected" Millwall said

In a statement, Millwall said it was “completely devastated” to make the announcement, while the Football Association of Montenegro said it was “deeply saddened” by the loss of “our beloved Matija Šarkić.” Claiming to maintain confidentiality, both the National Team and the Football Club have refused to say anything about the death of Matija Sarkic. Both the associations say that their focus is to provide confidentiality to Matija's family and friends. Millwall said in an Statement, 
"Everyone at the club sends their love and condolences to Matija's family and friends at this immensely sad time. The club will make no further comment at this time and asks that the privacy of Matija's family is respected."

Montenegro Football Association Highlighted, 

"A beloved member of the 'Brave Falcons', an eternally smiling guy, played for our 'A' selection in nine games, in which he showed how much he means to this team. Together with his twin brother Oliver, he passed all the junior categories of the Montenegrin national team. In the jersey of that iconic London club [Millwall], he left his mark, which was yet to become part of a bigger and more beautiful story,"

Matija Sarkic is an Montenegrins Professional Footballer known for his Excellence in Football. Matija's height is 6.4 Feet and due to his good height he is known as a Goalkeeper. He mainly Played for Millwall and Montenegro team. Sarkic was born in Grimsby, England on 23 July 1997.

Belonged to a Wealthy Family 

He belonged to a well to do family, his mother Natalie Šarkić-Todd belonged to Britain and worked in a European media network, apart from this his father also held a very high post. Sarkić's father Bojan Šarkić is a Montenegrin diplomat and he served as ambassador to the United Kingdom, Belgium and the European Union.

English Football Player Stan Collymore Said this news as "awful" expressed Condolences to Matija's Death in Young age, "Truly awful news of the death of Millwall and Montenegro goalkeeper, Matija Sarkic aged only 26. A young man with everything in front of him, puts everything into perspective .Sending sincerest condolences to his family."

"Our dear Matija, we will miss you and your cheerful spirit, your work ethic and your great defending," the Montenegro Football Association (FSCG) said in a statement, describing Sarkic as an "always smiling guy."

"On behalf of European football, our deepest condolences go to Matija's friends, family and everybody who knew him. Rest in peace, Matija," governing body UEFA said in a statement.

"Our thoughts and condolences are with Matija's family and friends, and everyone associated with the club"  by replying Millwall's post lawyer Alena Shawaceit marked. 

Newcastle United FC replied to Millwall's post, calling it "sad news" marked that, "Incredibly sad news. Sending our deepest condolences to Matija’s family, friends and everyone at Millwall at this time. Rest in peace, Matija. (Along with red Heart) 

Austin Villa also expressed deep condolences over Matija's death and recalled Matija's long and vibrant journey with Austin, "Everyone at Aston Villa is deeply saddened by news of the passing of our former goalkeeper Matija Šarkić. Matija joined our Academy in 2015 and spent five years with the club, during which time he made his full international debut for Montenegro, before departing in the summer of 2020. Further Express Condolences to matija's Family, " The thoughts and condolences of all at the club are with his family and friends at this incredibly sad time." 

Italian Sports Journalist Fabrizio Romano marked, "Heartbreaking news that Millwall and Montenegro goalkeeper Matija Sarkic has tragically passed away, aged 26.
