Vistara Mumbai-Frankfurt Flight Diverted to Turkey, Amid 'BOMB BLAST' Threat

These days, the menace of "Bomb Threats" has escalated into a global concern. A few months ago there were threats of Bomb Blast in Schools of India's Capital Delhi. Soon after, high schools in Georgia, United States, were also targeted with similar threats. 

Alarming BOMB Blast Threats: Leads to Diversion of Vistara Flight 

While the situation seemed to be under control for a while, but it has now reached alarming levels. Recently, Vistara's in-flight services have received alarming bomb threats, causing serious concern. 

A Vistara flight from Mumbai to Frankfurt was diverted to Erzurum Airport of Turkey due to alarming "bomb blast" threats.

According to multiple reports, Tata-owned Vistara has always given priority to the safety of its passengers, and this is why the company had to take this step a Spokesperson said, 

"At Vistara, the safety and security of our customers, crew, and aircraft remain our highest priority,”. 

The latest official statement said, "Flight UK27 from Mumbai to Frankfurt (BOM-FRA) has been diverted to Turkey (Erzurum airport) due to security reasons and has landed safely at 1905 hours. Please stay tuned for further updates,"

Vistara flight UK 27 departed from Mumbai on Friday at 12 pm (local time) for its destination Frankfurt in Germany. The journey to reach the destination took 9 hours. 

The flight was supposed to depart from Frankfurt by 5:30 pm on Friday evening, but due to cancellation in between, the aircraft had to be departed in Erzurum Airport of Turkey. The Spoke Person from Vistara said that, 

“Vistara flight UK 27, operating from Mumbai to Frankfurt on September 06, 2024, has been diverted to Turkey due to a security concern that was noted by our crew while onboard,” 

"BOMB ON AEROPLANE" was Written on a Tissue paper of the Toilet of the Flight 

According to sources, till now no main conspiracy of this threat has been found, but a tissue paper was found on th toilet of the flight, on which it was written "BOMB ON AEROPLANE". 

The representative of the company also informed that the diversion and departure of the flight has been done successfully at Erzurum Airport and the authorities there are doing watchful security checks. 

“The aircraft has safely landed at the Erzurum Airport. As per protocol, the relevant authorities were immediately alerted and we are fully cooperating with the security agencies to complete the mandatory security checks.”

According to reports, there were a total of 247 passengers in the flight. Vistara has made all the arrangements for the convenience of the passengers and also apologized to the people for this uncertain diversion. The airline said, 

"Passengers were provided with assistance and refreshments, and we sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused,”
