Natural Ice Cream founder Raghunandan Kamath died on Friday night at the age of 75. On Sunday Evening, His last rites were performed in Amboli Andheri West.

Ragunandha Kamath opened his first ice cream store in 1984 in Juhu Scheme, Mumbai, named "Natural Ice Cream". Ragunandha Kamath's father was a Mango Vendor in Mulki Kilpady District of Karnataka. Raghunandan left his Mulki in 1984 and came to Mumbai and started an Ice Cream Parlour.
Kamath Thought, "why can't ice creams be made from real fruits?
14 year old Kamath took a train from Mangalore to Mumbai to grow and explore his life. Initially Kamath worked in his brother's restaurant in Mumbai. And Once, he was thinking about Ice Creams, queried that, — why can't ice creams be made from real fruits? Although he had no idea about Ice Creams and it's various flavours.
Determined to produce "Natural Ice Cream" made of Real Fruits
Then he decided that he would produce ice cream made from natural fruits. But he still had some doubt that some people might not like it. For this, Kamath set up a small Pav Bhaji stall and along with her "Natural Ice Creams" made from "Real Fruits". People really liked his handmade natural fruit ice cream.
Started with 12 Flavors and 6 Staff members
And finally in 1984 he succeeded in opening his first "Natural Ice Creams" parlour in Juhu. Initially he opened this cream parlour with 12 flavours and 6 Staff members. But gradually with time and changing tastes, he also added new delicious flavours. Then he expanded his business while Competiting. As a result, today "Naturals Fruit Ice Cream" has more than 150 outlets in India.
