Why US is Acquiring 81 "Obsolete" and "Unused" Aircraft Combat from Kazakhastan — Is this a Strategic Move by US to Indirectly support Ukraine. Lets Decode this Strategic Acquisition of US.

The United States recently signed a deal to purchase 81 "obsolete" and "unused" aircraft from Kazakhstan.

So Many questions are being raised on this Strange deal of US - United States whose military power is one of the most superior in the world since Several Decades. Then Why, today it is Purchasing Soviet Era combat aircraft from Kazakhstan —  Which has been declared "obsolete" by Kazakhstan itself.

Kazakhstan, which is a very backward country at this time, is also an old and close ally of Russia. Relations between Kazakhstan and Russia have been very well and bold for the last several decades, hence it is also called Ally of Russia. 

Price of this Strategic Acquisition 

According to multiple reports, the total price of Soviet Era Airplanes acquiring by US is $2.26 Million. Hence, the price of each Combat Aircraft was estimated to be approximately $19300.

Kazakhstan to Strengthen its Military 

But now it is clear that Kazakhstan, which is surrounded on all sides by countries like China, Russia, Iran, Afghanistan. Is Now, perhaps in alignment with its very Old allies — Western Countries and by this deal it is visible that Kazakhstan is on the way to continue its old relations with Western Countries.By Sources, It is also being claimed that due to Ongoing Russia's acquisition on Ukraine, Kazakhstan no longer wants to have friendship with Russia.

Kazakhstan is always greatly influenced by Geopolitical Shifts in Central Asia. That's why now its is making every effort to Strengthen his defense and Military. 

Kazakhstan Auctioned +100 Aircraft and Fighters jets 

On October 2023, Kazakhstan auctioned its "unused" Military Aircraft in which it was clearly highlighted that these Aircrafts are now economically unviable for modernization and in an unused state. Kazakhstan will sell its obsolete aircraft and with the money it will buy modern and advanced military weapons to fortify it's Military. But Instead of this many Countries including United States Showed interest in these unused "Soviet Era Combat Aircraft".

Soviet Era Aircraft are Combat Planes which were designed keeping in mind the Geopolitical Shift between 1970 - 1990. Soviet Era Combat Planes Include MiG - 31 Interceptors, MiG - 27 Bombers, MiG - 29 Fighter or Su - 24 Bombers and many more.

Why US is Acquiring "Obsolete" Soviet Era Aircraft from Kazakhstan ?

However, till now the reason for "Obsolete" aircrafts acquired by the US has not been officially explained. , But according to sources, it is expected that the United States will provide Soviet Era aircraft to help Ukraine in the ongoing Ukraine-Russia war.

Kazakhstan Denied to Sell Aircrafts to Ukraine 

But, on the other hand, there is also the fact that recently, the State Owned Weapon Exporter and Importer of Kazakhstan has refused to supply weapons to Ukraine by mentioning that, Foreign companies are not allowed to bid military weapons. 

David Cameron on geopolitical situation of Kazakhstan 

This week's visit of United Kingdom Foreign Minister David Cameron to Kazakhstan is also a testimony to the fact that Kazakhstan is now interested in extending it's friendship with Western Countries.

The Foreign Minister David Cameron has signed several agreements between the two countries in Astana, the capital of Kazakhstan. In which Notable steps have been taken on Subjects like Education, Trade, Mineral Supply, Environment. Apart from this, David Cameron in its Statement also mentioned that Kazakhstan is surrounded by Difficult Neighbors like China, Iran, Russia, Afghanistan, United Kingdom seeks to be Partner of Kazakhastan.

David Cameron Mentioned regarding geographical Condition of Kazakhastan, "Situated along the fault line between Russia and China, protecting the independence and sovereignty of Central Asian countries is paramount,” 

Cameron Remarked, "It’s a large region that includes Russia, China, Iran, and Afghanistan. There are many global challenges that we addressed today. And importantly, I want to emphasize that the United Kingdom seeks to be your partner, your partner in education and in providing opportunities for your youth, in business, and in other areas for your prosperity,” 

Anthony Blinken Visited Kazakhstan 

Prior to this on February 2023 US Secretary Anthony Blinken Visited Kazakhstan and said that, "develop the strongest possible capacities for their own security, their growing economic prosperity, and the strength and resilience of their societies.”
