He is in the news due to an offensive Instagram live video, the live video was very offensive in which it is being claimed that it is a sex related video, Shannon recently revealed that his account has been hacked and his team is working hard to recover it. In an Recent Instagram Story Shannon wrote, 

"Beware my @shannonsharpe84 Instagram was hacked this morning, my team and I are working vigorously to figure this out,” 

Although no one was shown in that live video, but followers can hear not-safe-for-work noises in the background which confirms that it was a sex video. After this Shannon also confirmed that he was participating in sex act. 

Shannon was Unaware of the Instagram Live Streaming 

Footballer and Host of “Club Shay Shay” Shannon confirmed that he was unaware of this until his team notified him that his video was being live streamed on Instagram and followers could hear sex noises in it.

"I am embarrassed. Someone that is extremely private, and to have one of your most intimate details, the audio heard for the entire world? I'm embarrassed for a number of reasons... I'm very disappointed in myself, not for the act but to have your most intimate detail heard," Shannon Sharpe Mentioned. 

"I threw my phone on the bed, engaged in an activity. I did not know IG live. I’ve never turned IG live on so I don’t know how it works and all of sudden my other phone started going off.”
