31 Kristen Faulkner Wins Gold for America in Historic 158 KM Cycling Race at Paris Olympics

31-year-old Kristen Faulkner created history for America by winning the gold medal in the 158-kilometre cycling event at the Paris Olympics. She described this feeling as World Best Feeling and said, "It's a dream come true. It's the best feeling in the world. I don't know how to describe it."

"I knew I had to attack them as soon as we caught them. I knew they were sprinters. But I knew they didn't want to work together - they were [from] three different countries. I knew if I got a small gap they would have to race for second,”. 

Netherland's M.Vos and Belgium's L Kopecky Secured the Second and Third Positions 

Faulkner got the first place in Women Cyclist Racing Olympics, second place was won by M.Vos of Netherlands and she was awarded with Silver Medal. And third place was won by L Kopecky of Belgium, Awarded win Bronze Medal. 

This 158 kilometer cycling race took place in Paris, Kristen won it with her excellence and made Americans proud. This is a matter of great prestige for Americans. 

Kristen became the first American Gold Medal Winning Rider in the last 40 years of America's history. During the 10-day Paris Olympics, around 92 competitors took part in this 158 km race, whom 31-year-old Kristen beat.

Kristen Faulkner is a 31-year-old American Racing Cyclist who has previously won the United States National Road Race Champion. Kristen was born in Homer, Alaska on December 18, 1992. Since Kristen belongs to the Alaskan Fishing Community, she has been interested in Racing, Cycling, and Swimming since childhood.

She completed his graduation from Harvard University, he got his BA degree in Computer Science in 2016. Along with this, he also participated in Varsity Rowing and performed very well.

Kristen's Vibrant Journey: Pursuing Her Passion Shifted to San Francisco

Kristen started her vibrant riding career after completing her graduation in 2017. She entered riding career. In 2017 she participated in competitive cycling in New York and was also a partner of a large American private firm. 

Following her passion she moved to San Francisco Bay Area. Seeing her enthusiasm and consistently excellent performance in women's racing, UCI recognized her as a national cycling champion.

In October 2023, Kristen joined UCI Women's Continental Team EF–Oatly–Cannondale for the 2024 season.

"I knew that Kopecky wanted to catch the front two, so I knew she'd ride with me. I knew that if we caught them, then I had to attack because I couldn't beat any of them at the line. The best place to attack was right after we caught them and everyone was tired. That was my chance, I practiced my late attack several times this year."

"I took a really big risk a few years ago to come to pursue my dream. I made it happen. I learned how to calculate risks and assess risks. In a race, I take that mindset with me: What is the risk-reward ratio? Knowing when to go all in."
