Watch: 3-Storey Building Collapse in Navi Mumbai: 2 Died, 50 Rescued include 16 Children


A Gut wrecking incident took place in Navi Mumbai's Belapur Ward in which about 40 people were rescued after a 3-storey building collapsed, 2 people were found dead, 50 rescued people.l consist of 16 Children. 

Recently a terrible accident has occurred in Navi Mumbai, a big city based near India's financial capital Mumbai. The accident was so severe that it is feared that many people are trapped under it. On Saturday morning a three-storey building collapsed in Shehbaz Village of Navi Mumbai. 

Heartbreaking Incident: Navi Mumbai Building Collapsed at 5 AM on Saturday 

The Navi Mumbai municipal corporation chief, Dr. Kailas Shinde, said, “The building was constructed in 2013. Most of the residents had fled half an hour before the building collapsed." 

After the accident people present in the market place immediately informed the police after which the police and rescue teams quickly started their rescue operation. According to officials, this heart-wrenching incident happened at 5 am on Saturday when the 3-storey building suddenly collapsed.

"This a G+3 building. The Shahbaz village villages...." Kailash Shinde 

Kailash Shinde Navi Mumbai's Municipal Corporation commissioner said that the rescue is "underway". He also said that two people have been rescued and two more people are expected to be buried under the debris of the building. Kailash Shinde Marked, 

"This a G+3 building. The Shahbaz village falls under Belapur ward. There were 13 flats in the building. Two persons have been rescued and two are likely trapped. NDRF teams are at the spot. A rescue operation is underway," is 


You can see the huge debris of the 3-storey building in the video, from which you can imagine how the people buried inside it would be breathing. What would this scene be like and when this building collapses, the residents of the adjacent building would have heard a sound like an earthquake. 30-Year-Old Mohammad Meraj Among 2 Dead in Navi Mumbai Building Collapse 

Not only the police or fire brigade but the National Disaster Response Force team was also deployed for the rescue operation. According to officials, they are facing a lot of difficulty in identifying the dead as all the residents came out of the building a half hour before the collapse. 

But  two dead bodies have been identified, which included 30-year-old Mohammad Meraj and 29-year-old Shafiq Ansari. After this, there is also a third body which is currently under operation in NMMC Hospital which has not yet been declared as dead.

50 Rescued from Debris After Navi Mumbai Building Collapse include 19 Years Old Ruksar 

So far more than 50 people have been rescued from the debris of the building, including two people have been identified, Lallauddin Nazir Pathan 23, and Ruksar Pathan 19.

Both the rescued persons have suffered serious injuries and have been admitted to the Trauma Unit of Civic Hospital. 19-year-old Ruksaar was diagnosed with pelvic bone fracture and 23-year-old Nazir was diagnosed with abrasions.
