Why are Seismic Activities increasing year after year in Jammu and Kashmir?
In Jammu and Kashmir, the number of earthquakes is increasing year after year and this is a matter of concern. But now the question arises whether it is a common thing for earthquake to occur in Jammu and Kashmir ?
So the answer is yes, that is because J&K is located at the place where the collision of the Indian and Eurasian plates happened many centuries ago. The Indian Plate is continuously moving Northward and This puts heavy pressure on the land of J and K and because of this there is more seismic activity.
