Extreme and "Dangerous" Heat Warning for Michigan, Illinois and...

Extremely "Dangerous" and "Long Duration" and  Heatwave Alert has been Issued by the National Weather Department of United States. Extreme heatwave Alert for States around Michigan and Illinois and Newyork. Temeperature is Expected to reach 100 to 105 degree in affected areas. 

"Dangerous and Long Duration Heat Wave" Alert 

"Dangerous" and Long Duration Heat Wave Alert has been issued —  Temperature is expected to reach 100 to 105 degrees according to the Heat Index. "By this weekend, the most intense Heat will shift South from New England Towards the Northwest Urban Corridor and Mid Atlantic" the Center Stated.  


"Heat Safety Tips" : Prevent Exposure from Extreme Heat Wave 

In order to Prevent Exposure from excessive heatwave, National Weather Centre has also given some "Heat Safety Tips". First, do not leave any pets or people in a closed car. It was advised to wear "loose-fitting" or light coloured clothes. Third, it is recommended to drink “plenty of water” even if you do not feel thirsty. Fourth Suggestion is to spend more time in "air conditioned" areas and "shade".


Impacted States including Michigan, Illinois...

Recently, the United States' Weather Department, National Weather Services, has issued a "Dangerous" "Extreme Heat Warning" for the nearby city of Michigan. An Extreme Heatwave Alert has been issued for Certain States of United States including Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, and Penn and people have been asked to be cautious.

What are the Four Different Zones? 

The Weather Center has divided the cities affected by the heatwave into four categories. In the first category, Minor Heat Warning has been issued where there is less heat compared to distant places. The Minor Heat Zone includes upper parts of Wisconsin and West Virginia. 

The Second category is Moderate heat Alert —Areas in this zone can severely affect heat sensitive people ,"Heat Sensitive Industries" and will also impact people who are not taking "adequate hydration". Area Included in this Zone are Upper Tennessee, Tennessee, Parts of West Virginia, Kentucky and Virginia.

Areas Included in "Major" and "Extreme" Heatwave Zone 

Followed by the Major Zone — "This level of heat affects anyone without effective cooling and/or adequate hydration impacts likely in some health systems heat sensitive industries and Infrastructure." The Major Heat Zone area includes Upper Michigan, Central Wisconsin, Lower Illinois, Lower Ohio, Major Parts of Maine.

"Extreme Heat Zone" are those where the heat level is at its peak. There is a full possibility that the temperature of these areas will be between 100 to 105 degrees. Areas Including — Michigan, Newyork, Upper Parts of Illinois,  Lower Wisconsin, Indiana, Upper Ohio, New Hamshire and Vermont. 

Chief Public Health Officer Denise Fair Razo in a statement marked, 

"We want everyone in the city of Detroit to have a safe place to go to get some relief, The Detroit Health Department is working closely with the Parks and Recreation Division and Public Library branches to ensure safe, accessible cooling centers are available in neighborhoods across the city.”
