Allegation of "Human Trafficking" and "Staff Exploitation" on UK's Billionaire Hinduja Family
An allegation of "Human Trafficking" or "Staff Exploitation" has been made against the Hinduja Family among the Billionaire Families of the United Kingdom. Ajay Declined all these allegation marked, “I am shocked that someone who we considered to be a second mum....."

Allegations of "Human Trafficking" and "Staff Exploitation" on Hinduja Family
The Hinduja family, which is included among one of the richest families of the United Kingdom, has been accused of "trafficking" and exploitation of workers at their lake in Geneva and due to this act the Billionaire Hinduja Family is facing jail.
Hinduja family members face jail over trafficking and staff exploitation allegations. Prosecutors also alleged that the Hinduja family spent more money on their "pet" than on their "servants".
Multiple Allegation on UK's Billionaire Hinduja Family
On Monday, at the Geneva Criminal Court, prosecutor Yves Bertossa accused the Hinduja family, saying that, "They spent more for one dog than one of their servants.” Prosecutor Yves Bertossa not only made this claim but to back it up he cited the budget in which it was told that how the Hinduja family spends Rs 8,584 Swiss Francis ($ 9,669) annually on their "Pets".
According to a Bloomberg report, Mr Bertossa also claimed that a woman works 18 hours 7 days for Hinduja family and she paid only £6.19, which is even less than 7 Swiss Francis. Mr. Bertossa also claimed that details of specific working hours of the servant are not mentioned in the staff contract, and on request the staff has to be available at any time.
According to the allegations, passports of the employees were confiscated so that the staff members could not go out without the permission of the employer. Prakash Hinduja and his wife Kamla Hinduja did not appear in court on Monday's Court hearing citing poor health.
Allegation Against 4 Members of Hinduja Family
All these allegations have been leveled against four members of the Hinduja family — including 78 year old Owner of Hinduja Group Prakash Hinduja, Prakash's wife Kamla Hinduja, their son Ajay Hinduja and Ajay's wife Namrata Hinduja.
Hinduja family's Defense against these Allegations
Hinduja family member Ajay Hinduja and his lawyer Romain Jordan also kept their side very strong on all these allegations. Testifying all this, In French, Ajay Hinduja rejected all these allegations and said that he is "Shocked" that those whom we considered as "Second Mom" for our Children can level allegations like "Trafficking" and Exploitation on us.
“I am shocked that someone who we considered to be a second mum for our children, could accuse us of something as demeaning as human trafficking,”
He also thanked the woman for the services provided to the Hinduja family and claimed that the woman's children are still in touch with him and send them Diwali wishes over the phone.
During the trial, Ajay refuted the allegation that a woman earns less than 7 Swiss Francis and said that he does not have comprehensive knowledge about the conditions under which his staff members work because the staff management and recruitment is handled by the Hinduja Group in India.
"When they sit down to watch a movie with the kids, can that be considered work? I think not,” on the above allegations, Hinduja family's lawyer Yael Hayat said. Further Ajay Marked,
“Someone who would make an employee work that hard would be an idiot. She wouldn’t have been able to do her job properly if she worked 18 hours a day, 7 days a week.”
Demanded total payment of 4.5 Swiss francs from Hinduja family
Prosecutors Yves has also made several demands – five and a half years imprisonment for Prakash and Kamla Hinduja and four and a half year imprisonment for Ajay and Namrata Hinduja. In addition, the prosecutors have also demanded that the Hinduja family should pay 3.5 million Swiss Francs for court expenses and 1 million Swiss Francis for compensation of their staff.
Romain Jordan, a lawyer for the Hinduja family, said,
“This indictment is as excessive as it is detached from the legal and factual elements of the case. The prosecutor’s contempt shows an unacceptable bias, and no other family would have been treated in this way. Our clients remain determined to defend themselves and have confidence in the judicial system.”
