Singapore Makes Israel Embassy to delete " Inappropriate" post and called it as .......

K Shanmugam called it as, "Attempt to Rewrite History " and looks" Very Upset" for the "Inappropriate Statement against Palestine

Well, on Sunday, March 24, there was a post on Facebook from the Israeli Embassy which was very "Objectionable". Seeing this, Singapore's Home Minister Kasshivishwanath Shanmugam asked the Israel Embassy to delete the post, which was also deleted the same day.

Singapore Ministry Denoted this as "Insensitive" 


Ministry of Singapore denoted this post as " Insensitive, Inappropriate and Completely Unacceptable" and called it "attempt to rewrite history". The post said that, "Israel is mentioned 43 times in the Quran. On the other hand, Palestine is not mentioned even once. Each and every archeological evidence – maps, documents, coins, link the land of Israel to the Jewish people as the indigenous people of the land."

Statement of K Shanmugam 


K Shanmugam, Minster of in Singapore stated that, “The writer of the post should look at UN (United Nations) resolutions, see if Israel’s actions in the past few decades have been consistent with international law before trying to rewrite history.” Calling the post “wrong at many levels". He further added "Posts like these can... inflame tensions, and can put the Jewish community here at risk. The anger from the post can potentially spill over into the physical realm,".

After Deleting the Post, Israel Embassy said..

However, after deleting the post, a spokesperson from Israel Embassy said that the post was not authorized and also said that whoever has used such objectionable post will be punished or some serious action will be taken.

The Foreign Ministry said in response, “The Israel Embassy respects religion and racial harmony in Singapore, We assure you that the social media post that had gone up was done without the necessary approvals and the person responsible has already been harshly punished and will face internal disciplinary measures. We have already taken action against the relevant person."
