Mumbai overtakes Beijing to become world's third Billionaire city with 92 Billionaires
Now, Mumbai and New Delhi are leading in the list of Cities with the Most Billionaire, Mumbai is the 3rd after New York and London
As per the report released in India this year, 84 new names have been added to the list of billionaires in india, last year there were a total of 169 billionaires in India. And surprisingly this number has increased tremendously in one year with a hold of 271 Billionaires. Hurun called Mumbai "Asia's Billionaire Epicentre" and " Future Economic Titan" in its report.
There are total 3279 billionaires in the world. In this time's Billionaire list, the number of billionaires in countries like Japan, China, Brazil and Indonesia was seen falling drastically. In the same list it was also told that this year was very bad for China, in this list the number of Billionaires in Hong Kong decreased by 20%, in Shenzhen or Shanghai a decline of 19% or 7% was seen.
Mumbai Outrank Beijing
According to the report, Mumbai is the third City with Highest Billionaire after New York and London which have 119 Billionaire and 97 Billionaire, respectively.
This year, 26 more names have been added to the billionaire list of Mumbai and on the other hand, 18 names have decreased in the billionaire list of China's capital Beijing.
Mumbai "Fastest Growing Billionaire"
The Hurun Global Rich List 2024 reports, "Mumbai emerged as the fastest-growing billionaire capital worldwide, with a remarkable addition of 26 billionaires within the year, propelling it to the third spot globally and cementing its status as Asia's billionaire capital. Additionally, New Delhi made its debut in the Top 10."

According to Hurun report, in India's billionaires list, 39 billionaires are from the pharmaceutical sector, 27 billionaires are from the auto component sector or 24 billionaires are from the chemical sector.
