Actor Manoj Mishra joined Congress and said that, " I joined the Congress Party......."
Manoj Mishra stated that, "I joined the Congress party because of its ideology, my goal is to aware youth about Congress and raise the voice of people."
Manoj Mishra joined the Indian National Congress at the party state headquarters on Saturday 10 February 2024. Prominent Congress leaders including Ajoy Kumar, OPCC Congress Legislature party leader Narasingha Mishra, were present in this program.
Manoj Mishra is a very famous actor of Odisha film industry who is known as the main villain character. He has played the role of negative character in many famous Bollywood movies including Ollywood like Drishyam, Mindgame, Dabangg 2, Mangal Pandey etc.
After coming to Indian National Congress, Manoj Mishra, “I will continue to work in cinema from where I earn my livelihood. I joined Congress to be able to serve people and address the labour migration problem prevalent in western Odisha. I want the future of people to be bright.”
Manoj Mishra further mentioned, “To earn a livelihood, I will continue to work as an actor. I have joined politics to serve people. I had not planned anything in the last six months. I had never thought of any plan after the release of Mind Game and subsequent controversies. I had expected that it would give me a scope to earn. But nothing happened like that.”
" I had no idea that people migrate to outside states and whether they return back or not. I had no idea that people vote for Rs 500 and some narcotics and 5 years remain like that for them. When I saw such things, it is a reality what is shown in cinema. Senior Congress leader Narasingha Mishra inspired me to join politics,” said Manoj Mishra.
